Based on real events. The story of a dog who saved 16 residents of besieged Leningrad.
1939. Mitya Vasilev was bought a long-awaited puppy. The boy was beaming with happiness, but his mother and numerous neighbors were unhappy: the dog howled loudly and protractedly, not letting them sleep, for which he received the nickname Karuzo.
But happiness is destroyed when the war begins. Leningrad is under siege, people are dying of hunger. Then Karuza, now an adult, strong and smart dog, does the impossible - gets food for the residents...
