The film 'Mountain of Lovers' combines a road movie with a personal and social drama, inspired by Ildar Yuzeev's work of the same name – 'Gashyklar tavy'. It is the love story of a young couple, Said and Yasmina, who swore eternal love to each other on a mountain that holds deep symbolic meaning for them, but fate kept them apart for many years.
