One day, Papa Carlo comes into possession of an ancient magic key that can grant any wish. The lonely woodcarver wants only one thing — a son. The wish is almost fulfilled, but even in fairy tales, things don't always go according to plan — a log comes to life, and from it emerges a boy: smart, cheerful, and... made of wood. Papa Carlo loves his son dearly, but Buratino (as he names him) gradually realizes he is not like everyone else. He sets off on a long and adventure-filled journey to prove to his father that he is a good and true son.
